My name is Cindy Preeper and I am a 37 year old mom of a teen daughter.

Website Design, Photography (totally amateur), spending time with family and friends, travelling to tropical places :).

An Indonesian dish called rendang! And rumcake from the Bahamas or Jamaica.

Protein Pancakes!!!

Future Fitness Goals: To improve my physique for my next figure competition.

Why I started on my weightloss journey:
About 7 years ago I hit a low point in my life. I was sedentary with developing health concerns. I was working at a desk job that made things just that much worse with back aches and head aches.

I was out of shape, depressed, fighting chronic aches and pains (lower back, hip and knee joints) and felt like I was a lot older than I really am. I couldn't stand the fact I couldn't keep up with my daughter. In 3 months I went from a size 12 to a size 5!! Women were always asking me how I did it. That was when I decided to work on getting my personal training certification. Today, I am training to compete in my first figure competition while helping others achieve their goals in fitness.

How I did it:
I made gradual diet changes and did weights and cardio 3-4x/week. Most people don't know that moderation is the key and I started off moderately and worked from there. I've never been a diet junkie but I started following the Zone Diet concept and that really worked for me.

Advice to others:
Set small achievable goals (daily/weekly/monthly) that will lead you to your big goal. Surround yourself with postive and supportive people. Keep a daily journal to write out your workouts, nutrition and feelings.
